In answer to your question, if possible, when doing silhouettes, I like to try to retain a hint of detail in large dark areas so that they are not totally black, leaving a little bit of form and interest, such as the foreground here. It's just a matter of personal choice for me and others might prefer to have completely flat black. I think it's because of something my art teacher of long ago said to me. I do like the transparency, depth and colors in your sky and the feint, more subtle silhouettes on the horizon at the left.

First, glad you're back around. Second, that's a wonderful photograph. In my monitor the colors aren't realistic but they are beautiful. Don't see anything overdone about the blue -- it contrasts very well with the yellow.

I like how you processed this photo. Colors are well balanced. The dramatic sky is fantastic and the silhouettes of the trees add interest in the foreground.
I'm assuming you upped the blues and yellows? At least the blue is coming on a little strong imo. Other than that: a very dynamic scene, I like it!
The sky makes this image special. The two trees are interesting for themselves, but these colors add so much feeling here...
